Main Banking Agreement Ceremony Held for Mutual Co-Development and Building an AI Innovative Educational Environment (2025.12.18)
Primary Banking Agreement Extended… Long-term Partnership Continues
Largest-ever Development Fund Pledge

Sahmyook University will extend its primary banking partnership with Woori Bank for the next 10 years, continuing their cooperative relationship. Building on the trust accumulated over 20 years since the first agreement was signed in 2006, the two institutions agreed to further strengthen a mid- to long-term cooperation framework for the University’s development and the advancement of financial infrastructure.
On the 18th, Sahmyook University and Woori Bank held a primary banking agreement ceremony in the main conference room of the Centennial Memorial Hall on campus and shared the future direction of cooperation.
Attendees at the event included Sahmyook University President Je Hae-jong, Vice President Kim Yong-seon, and other key University officials, as well as Woori Bank officials including Jo Se-hyung, Vice President of the Institutional Group, and Jeong Un-hyung, Head of the Eastern Sales Headquarters.
Under this agreement, Woori Bank, as Sahmyook University’s primary bank, decided to support the University’s stable financial management and administrative efficiency by providing a large-scale development fund, along with new IT investments in the financial sector and support for infrastructure development. In particular, the development fund was pledged as the largest single donation in the University’s history since its founding.
In addition, the two sides plan to continue providing various forms of financial support so that members of the University community—including enrolled students and faculty and staff—can use more convenient and stable financial services.

Sahmyook University has designated Woori Bank as its primary bank for fund management and will operate the funds of related organizations—including the University Headquarters, the Foundation, and the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation—under a primary banking system. While strengthening cooperation across major financial operations such as tuition payment processing and payroll transfers for faculty and staff, the University also plans to work closely with the bank on the exclusive issuance of student and faculty/staff ID cards and linkage with mobile payment services.
President Je Hae-jong said, “I find it very meaningful that over the past 20 years we have been able to continue our cooperative relationship with Woori Bank based on a sense of community trust under the name ‘Woori,’” adding, “With this agreement as a momentum, I hope our cooperation will continue as strong partners not only for the next 10 years but beyond as well.”
Vice President Jo Se-hyung stated, “It is even more meaningful to continue primary banking cooperation with Sahmyook University, which will mark its 120th anniversary next year,” adding, “Woori Bank will continue to do its best as a financial partner to support Sahmyook University’s stable operation and sustained growth.”
