Sahmyook University Department of Physical Therapy–Korean Physical Therapy Association Seoul Branch, MOU to Establish Volunteer Group

The Department of Physical Therapy at Sahmyook University (Chair: Jeong I-jeong) and the Seoul Special City Branch of the Korean Physical Therapy Association decided to establish and jointly operate a volunteer group. On the 25th, the two organizations signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlining these details in the small conference room of Sahmyook University’s Centennial Memorial Hall.

This agreement was 마련됐다 to jointly promote social contribution activities, such as addressing the physical and mental health issues of marginalized citizens in the local community and providing physical therapy volunteer services for health-vulnerable groups.

Under the agreement, the Department of Physical Therapy at Sahmyook University will encourage student participation through volunteer programs within the department, and the Seoul Branch will carry out projects to provide education and support volunteer activities through mentor physical therapists.

In addition, the two organizations agreed to jointly carry out academic activities in the future and to cooperate on the Seoul Special City Branch’s student scholarship support program.

Jeong I-jeong, Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy at Sahmyook University, said, “Through this project, we expect it will contribute not only to promoting public health but also to the development of the local community.” Park Jae-myeong, President of the Seoul Special City Branch of the Korean Physical Therapy Association, said, “We are very grateful to the Department of Physical Therapy at Sahmyook University for empathizing with and joining in addressing the health issues of marginalized citizens in the local community.” (End.)
