On the 13th, the Korean Adventist Scholarship Foundation in the Americas (Operating Committee Chair: Pastor Yoo Jae-sang) presented $3,000 in scholarships to three students in Sahmyook University’s Department of Theology and the Graduate School of Theology.

The Korean Adventist Scholarship Foundation in the Americas has been donating scholarships since 2005 for students in Sahmyook University’s Department of Theology and the Graduate School of Theology, with the aim of fostering pastors and advancing theological education. Over the years, about 40 theology students have received scholarship benefits, and many of them are serving churches as pastors. The cumulative scholarship amount has reached $40,000.

Elder Cho Jeong-seop, the foundation’s secretary general, said, “I believe that the education project to cultivate future leaders is the most important work of the denomination,” adding, “Supporting them is also very meaningful and valuable. I hope that, through these scholarships, outstanding leaders who can help develop our society and the church will be produced.”

Also, student Moon Bo-hyeon (Theology, 4th year), who received a $1,000 scholarship that day, shared his thoughts: “Thank you for giving me this great opportunity. I will continue to grow and develop so that the dedication of the believers in the Americas will not be in vain.”

The Korean Adventist Scholarship Foundation in the Americas was launched in 2003, bringing together the intention of first-generation Adventist immigrants in the Americas to share the blessings God has given them. Since its establishment, it has provided scholarship funds to about 350 students.
