The Sahmyook University World Mission Center held the “International Student Love Sharing Festival – The Word” school trip at the Back to Eden Health Education Center in Sokcho, Gangwon-do, for three days from November 4th to the 6th.

This event was held for the first time this year to share the beauty of Korea and the love of a warm community through travel for international students studying at Sahmyook University and to preach the Word of God to them.

About 50 students from 18 countries attending the graduate school, undergraduate, and Korean language courses at Sahmyook University, as well as Dean Je,Hae-jong and Kang, Ha-sik, Director of the World Mission Center, participated.

Back to Eden’s Dr. Yang, Il-kwon delivered the message with English and Chinese interpreters, and they also experienced healthy vegetarian dishes. They also enjoyed the late autumn atmosphere while touring the sunrise on the East Coast, Mt. Seorak, and the Garden of Morning Calm.

Jacob Chang (Senior, Department of Theology, China) said, “I was physically and mentally exhausted from a traffic accident while studying abroad. But I felt and realized many things through this trip to the Word. The East Coast sunrise I saw on Sabbath morning was so emotional. While I was eating Back to Eden’s healthy food, the vomiting symptoms that had been difficult so far improved, so I decided to eat healthier food in the future. It was an unforgettable trip to Korea for international students.”

Kang, Ha-sik, director of the World Mission Center, said, “I asked for many prayers from church members and believers so that the 500 international students studying at Sahmyook University can not only finish their studies well but also accept the gospel and return to their home countries.”
