The Sahmyook University Student Council held the “Autumn Love Sharing Festival” on campus from November 7th to the 11th.

The Love Sharing Festival is a unique cultural event and mission festival at Sahmyook University that practices the core Christian values of love and sharing for a week. It is held twice a year, once in spring and fall.

The Love Sharing Festival was postponed for a week due to a national mourning period declared a day before the event due to the casualties of the Itaewon incident. As a result, there were some ups and downs, including the cancellation of the originally scheduled talk concert with singer Kim, Jun-soo. The program was drastically revised, but many students participated, and ended successfully.

The faith concert, a representative event of the Love Sharing Festival, was held every day at 6:00 pm at John Hall in the Hong Myeong-ki building. Pastor Lee, Sang-soo was invited as a lecturer and preached on the theme of Between the Flower Path and the Dirt Road, comforting the students’ hearts and conveying the love of Jesus. The faith concert was also broadcast live on “Do you media,” the official YouTube channel of the Sahmyook University Media Ministry Team.

Various events to practice love and sharing were also organized throughout the campus. A large-scale blood donation event for the Life Sharing Drive was held from November 1st-9th. Three hundred ten people, including students, professors, and staff, participated in the blood donation drive with the donation vehicles from the Korean Red Cross.

At Solomon Square on campus, the experience booth activity ‘Love Sharing Expo’ was held to add to the festive atmosphere. The students’ association, 36 Habitat (architectural service club), youth worship SAY (youth worship), Crew Church, and student counseling center participated in various values of sharing love.

The Pine Field Concert was held at Solomon Square during lunchtime from Tuesday to Friday. A total of four teams participated and performed: Yehyang, Hansol, HAVEN, and sophomores in theology. Students who were exhausted from their studies had time to gain comfort and restore their lives through music.
