Sahmyook University will send twelve students to various parts of the world as missionaries for a year. The student missionaries renewed their commitment to spreading the love of Jesus Christ with the gospel in their hands.

On December 14th, Sahmyook University held the “2023 Student Missionary Overseas Dispatch and Scholarship Award Ceremony” in the Centenary Memorial Hall conference room on campus.
A total of 12 students were called as missionaries, including △eight 1000 missionaries, △two PCM missionaries, and △two COMPASS missionaries.

President Kim, Il-mok said in his encouraging speech, “The decision to dedicate the next year to God is truly precious. I sincerely hope that many souls will accept the gospel and receive salvation through your service.”

Jeon, Ha-eun (second-year nursing student), who was called as a 1,000 missionary, said, “I entered Sahmyook University’s Department of Nursing to achieve my dream of becoming a medical missionary, and decided to experience missionary work in advance through one year of ministry. I will rely on God who constantly supports me when I am weak, and I will make the Lord known to even one more person in a place where the gospel has not been preached.”

On this day, small scholarships were awarded to student missionaries. The purpose of Sahmyook University is to encourage, support, and pray with missionaries.

In addition, President, Kim Il-mok, Dean Je Hae-jong, departmental heads, and departmental pastors placed their hands on the shoulders of each student missionary. They prayed they would return after completing their one-year service in good health and safety.
