[NEWS] SU's Autumn Graduation 2022: Honoring 287 Graduates

On August 18th, Sahmyook University celebrated its Autumn Graduation Ceremony at the esteemed Hong Myung Ki Hall within the Yohan Building on campus.

A total of 287 accomplished graduates were recognized, including 211 Bachelor’s degree recipients, 35 Doctoral degree achievers, and 26 Master’s degree graduates from the general graduate school. Additionally, one student earned a Master’s degree from the School of Theology, while 14 others excelled with Master’s degrees from the Graduate School of Clinical Nursing.

This diverse group included 38 international students from countries such as the United States, China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia, Liberia, and one student with special needs.

President Kim Il-mok emphasized the essence of ‘Altruism’ during his commencement address. He affirmed, “Altruism embodies a heart that desires the best for others, a mindset dedicated to improving the world and humanity. Cultivating altruism broadens your horizons and paves the way for a brighter future.”

President Kim encouraged graduates to uphold the institution’s values in their future endeavors, advocating for early starts, diligent work, and wise task management. He concluded, “Wherever your journey takes you and whatever role you assume, may an altruistic spirit be your guiding light.”
