Merit for National Employment Support System

Sahmyook University received a commendation from the Minister of Employment and Labor for contributing to the national employment support system and developing employment and labor administration.

The ‘National Employment Support System’ is a system that provides job seekers between the ages of 15 and 69 with job-seeking promotion allowances and customized employment support services. It is called the ‘Korean-style unemployment assistance.’

From January 1st 2021, it was implemented according to the ‘Act on Employment Promotion and Livelihood Support for Job Seekers’.

Sahmyook University contributed to improving the youth employment rate by providing job competency enhancement and employment support services to many students through close cooperation with employment centers and local private agencies from the beginning of the system.

Over the past two years, 221 graduates and currently enrolled students have participated in this system, and 114 (51.58%) have succeeded in finding a job · starting a business. Due to these achievements, the Seoul Northern Employment Center evaluated it as an excellent university in the participation rate and work experience linkage rate of the National Employment Support System.

President Kim, Il-mok said, “We will actively utilize the government’s youth employment support policy and continue to support young people so they can stably enter society.”

Meanwhile, Sahmyook University is operating the ‘2022 University Job Plus Center (base type) project’ supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Every year, 750 million won (450 million won from the government, 150 million won from the local government, and 150 million won from school expenses) is invested in providing systematic career planning and employment support services.
