Sahmyook University has earned ‘A’ grades in both the ‘Educational Innovation Performance’ and ‘Autonomy and Management’ categories in the ‘2024 University Innovation Support Project Performance Evaluation,’ conducted by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Research Foundation.

This project is a major funding initiative designed to support universities in improving education quality and developing future talent through self-driven innovation. Out of 117 participating universities, including 51 in the metropolitan area, Sahmyook University stood out.

The university was recognized for its achievements in several areas: expanding students’ major choices, establishing a major and career support center, flexible academic systems, digital learning support, and a major design support center. Additionally, in the area of autonomy and management, the university excelled in setting ambitious goals with valid justifications and achieving all set objectives.

As a result, Sahmyook University will receive around 6 billion KRW in the third year of the project, including performance-based incentives.

Song Chang-ho, Director of the University Innovation Support Project, said, “This recognition will further strengthen our educational capabilities. We will continue to advance our strengths, such as AI-based education, and drive positive changes across the university.”
