In a move to enhance employment opportunities, the University Job Plus Center at Samyook University recently conducted a specialized job training program focused on the entertainment (K-POP) industry from June 24th to July 11th.
This unique training initiative took a hub-based approach and attracted a diverse group of 51 participants, including 11 current students and 2 alumni from Samyook University, alongside 38 students from other institutions and local young adults.
The program utilized a blended learning methodology, blending online and offline components. Participants engaged in online theoretical learning prior to delving into intensive offline sessions where they explored the structure, organization, trends, and key terminology of the entertainment industry. They also received guidance on tailoring job applications and portfolios to the industry, as well as developing effective interview strategies.
Following the conclusion of the training, the University Job Plus Center plans to continue supporting the participants with online lectures and ongoing post-training assistance, including individual counseling, to facilitate their job placement.
Meanwhile, Samyook University’s University Job Plus Center has been designated as a key operating university for the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s 2024 University Job Plus Center initiative. This recognition underscores the institution’s commitment to providing comprehensive employment support services to current students, graduates, and local youth.
