Amidst a palpable air of excitement, Sahmyook University unfurled the ceremonial carpet at the 70th Anniversary Mission Hall (Main Auditorium) on March 4th to usher in the 2024 academic year with a grand convocation.

This year, the university’s gates swung open to embrace 1373 undergraduate scholars, comprising 1243 eager freshmen and 130 seasoned transfers. Additionally, 185 graduate students, spanning across diverse disciplines including general graduate studies, theology, business, and clinical nursing, were warmly welcomed into the academic fold.

In a poignant moment of commitment, Freshmen Representative Hong Hyun-seo from the Department of Computer Engineering, ascended the podium to vow their dedication towards sculpting themselves into future torchbearers of society. President Jae Hae-jong bestowed upon them the insignia of the university and a medal of honor.

Following this solemn pledge, melodious strains of the Department of Music resonated through the hall as current students serenaded the newcomers, offering a musical welcome for their upcoming journey.
