[4] SU Produces Presidential Science Scholars for Third Consecutive Year

Lee Min-hee, a student majoring in Chemistry and Life Sciences at Sahmyook University, has been selected as the recipient of the 21st Presidential Science Scholarship. This achievement marks Sahmyook University’s third consecutive year of producing scholars under this prestigious program.

The Presidential Science Scholarship aims to identify and support outstanding students in the field of science and technology, with the goal of fostering future leaders in scientific research. Recipients receive full tuition coverage until graduation and a study allowance of 2.5 million Korean Won per semester.

Lee Min-hee’s interest in disease research and vaccines led her to enroll at Sahmyook University in 2021. She distinguished herself through her research on the correlation between COVID-19 vaccines and myocarditis, presented at the ‘ICSU 2021’ conference. Additionally, she is conducting research on a targeted drug delivery system using exosomes in the university’s biochemistry laboratory.

Lee’s aspiration is to become a medical scientist dedicated to improving human welfare. She emphasizes the importance of utilizing scientific knowledge to enhance human happiness and alleviate suffering, which is a fundamental right for all individuals.
