Sahmyook University Campus has been selected as one of the ‘four best spring flower hotspots in Seoul.’ The ‘vegan meat’ meal was also selected as a specialty.

On April 5th, the Seoul Tourism Organization introduced Sahmyook University along with Kyunghee University, Dongguk University, and Yonsei University as the best campuses for spring flower hotspots in Seoul in a press release titled “Spring has arrived early. Should we go on a campus outing before it ends?”

Sahmyook University’s main entrance to the campus is lined with pine trees extending high in the sky, creating a profound landscape.

Dense pine trees and azaleas are blooming around the Theology building, where you can feel the atmosphere of Spring. Cherry blossoms bloom around the Centennial Memorial Hall, library, and clock tower right next to it, boasting the atmosphere of a beautiful spring day.

The organization also drew attention by introducing each university’s cafeteria menu and mentioning Sahmyook University’s ‘vegetarian diet.’

The foundation wrote, “Sahmyook University cafeteria uses plant-based meat instead of meat in all menus, so you can experience a special diet that cannot be tasted elsewhere. The ham that goes into the representative menu, budaejjigae, and the meat in the dumplings have also been replaced with plant-based meat.”

“The campus, with all kinds of flowers in full bloom with the warm spring sun, becomes a flower-viewing hotspot. The university’s cafeteria is also attractive to outsiders as well because of its low prices and high satisfaction with its taste, which captivates the students. So, how about going on a picnic on campus this Spring?”

However, when enjoying a spring outing, one must be careful not to interfere with students’ studies, such as refraining from visiting during classes on campus and not entering or exiting the buildings.
