[NEWS] Exchange student · academic exchange MOU with Wuhan Technology and Business University in China

Sahmyook University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Wuhan Technology and Business University in China for international exchanges such as exchange students and academic exchanges. The agreement ceremony was held on the 10th at Sahmyook University’s Centennial Memorial Hall conference room.

Wuhan Technology and Business University is a regular undergraduate university in Wuhan, Hebei Province, China. It is adjacent to Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone and Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone and is actively engaged in industry-academia cooperation. In economics, business management, engineering, fine arts, law, and the arts, 11 colleges and 47 departments are operated as four-year undergraduate programs and three-year professional undergraduate programs according to the characteristics of majors. The number of enrolled students is about 17,000.

According to the agreement, the two universities agreed to promote various international exchange programs, including △ student exchange program, △transfer of Wuhan Technology and Business University students to Sahmyook University undergraduate degree (3+1+2) △ Wuhan Technology and Business University graduates admitted to Sahmyook University graduate school for master’s and doctoral courses (4+2), △faculty training, △joint academic seminars, and △student exchanges during vacations.

Ji-yeon Shin, Dean of International Affairs and Director of the International Education Center at Sahmyook University said, “We look forward to actively promoting academic exchanges with exchange students based on their excellent and diverse major courses of the two universities, and through this, we hope to strengthen the global capabilities of current students and produce great talents together.”

Zhou Chang, director of the Institute of Lifelong Education, said, “Wuhan Technology and Business University has organized and operated four departments as preparatory classes for studying in Korea so that current students can prepare to study in Korea from the time of admission. We hope that through the cooperative program with Sahmyook University, excellent students can advance overseas (in Korea).
