With 12,155 applicants vying for just 805 spots, the overall competition rate stands at 15.10 to 1. This figure marks the second highest competition rate in the university’s history, following last year’s peak of 16.65 to 1.

Breaking it down by admission type, the Essay Excellence category dominated, attracting 5,380 applicants for 127 available spots, resulting in a competitive rate of 42.36 to 1. Following that, the Performance Excellence category recorded a rate of 21.38 to 1, while the Specialized High School category hit 16.40 to 1, and the Seum Talent category reached 13.77 to 1.

Examining specific programs, the Nursing Department in the Essay Excellence category saw an astounding 909 applicants for just 8 positions, resulting in a fierce competition rate of 113.63 to 1. The Physical Therapy Department followed with a rate of 81.40 to 1, the Business Administration Department at 54.67 to 1, and the 5-year Architecture Department at 42.00 to 1. The popularity of the Essay Excellence category was clearly evident. In the Performance Excellence category, the Art and Design Department also drew attention with 953 applicants for 29 spots, yielding a competitive rate of 32.86 to 1.
