The Environmental Design and Horticulture Department proudly presented its 24th graduation exhibition, ‘Botaniphilia_A Botanical Journey: Embracing Design with Nature,’ held from April 3rd to 9th at the campus museum’s exhibition hall.

Under the captivating theme of ‘Botanical Design,’ the exhibition pondered the significance of plants in our modern urban lives, exploring their symbiotic relationship with design. It delved into innovative ways to integrate elements of nature into various design disciplines, including environmental design, landscape architecture, spatial planning, green design, and floral artistry.

Chairing the exhibition committee, Kwon Junseo reflected on the profound challenges posed by the theme. He remarked, “Beyond mere ornamentation, ‘Botanical Design’ prompts us to contemplate sustainable design practices and environmental stewardship, challenging us to craft spaces that not only captivate but also conserve.” He extended his commendation and encouragement to the dedicated artists who tirelessly prepared for this showcase.

The Environmental Design and Horticulture Department epitomizes the fusion of tradition and innovation, offering a rich curriculum that nurtures talents in eco-conscious design. By blending environmental principles with horticultural expertise, the department cultivates a new generation of designers adept in environmental design, green technology, floral aesthetics, and integrated landscape design.
