Sahmyook University was selected as the host university for the ‘Blue Ladder Project’ supported by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Student Aid Foundation. This results from being selected for five consecutive years from 2019 to now.

The Blue Ladder Project is a project to nurture global talents by providing overseas university training opportunities to university students with dreams and passion who strive for self-development and career development despite social and economic difficulties.

This year, Sahmyook University will select 70 students (including 11 students from other universities). It will send them to Victoria University Sydney Campus in Australia, the University of Guam in the United States, and the Management and Science University in Malaysia.

Students will participate in △an orientation △career awareness test △ career design workshop △special lectures △mentoring △language education △cultural education △sexual harassment and sexual violence prevention education △overseas safety education, etc.. They will be dispatched to the local area for four weeks from the end of June to conduct English training and global corporate analysis by teams.

After completing the training, individual mentoring and career guidance will be provided, and the overseas employment program “K-Move School” will be linked to provide priority selection opportunities for graduates.

Soo-hyun Ryu, head of Sahmyook University’s Job Division, said, “We hope this program will become a ‘blue ladder’ in education that helps students strengthen their global capabilities and reach a higher level. We will do our best to support safe and high-quality training.”
