The Department of Theology of Sahmyook University held a worship service on October 13 at the Bae Chang-hyeon Memorial Hall in the theology hall on campus for the appointment and dispatch of department coordinators (department evangelists). They will be dispatched to each department for the next year and dedicated to the spiritual evangelization of the university.

About 200 people attended the dispatch service, including President Kim Il-mok, faculty members of the theology department, heads of departments, pastors in charge, new coordinators, and executives of the department community.

As part of theological education, the department coordinator is a system that sends second-year theology students to each department for practical on-campus missionary work for one year.

The 33 new coordinators to be dispatched to each department pledged their dedication, saying, “As we have been set apart for the ends of the earth in departments that do not know the Lord, following the Lord’s command to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, we will obey with all our heart.”

President Kim Il-mok said in his congratulatory speech, “Now you will be assigned to each department to serve many young people who have been sent to this university. I hope that all of you will share the faith you have received and the grace of deep fellowship with God you have learned through theology with a ‘heart of altruism’ whenever you have the opportunity. So, I hope the beautiful spirit of serving our neighbors will wave through this university.”
