Personal Statement

Personal Statement

The personal statement should give concrete evidence of your promise as a member of the academic community, giving the committee an image of you as a person. This is also where you represent your potential to bring to your academic career a critical perspective rooted in a non-traditional educational background, or your understanding of the experiences of groups historically under-represented in higher education and your commitment to increase participation by a diverse population in higher education.

Study plan

In your study plan, detail how your academic and professional background, interests, and preparation in the academic area you are applying and/or other studies support your research topic and the method(s) you expect to use (or would like to learn) to explore the topic.
We want to understand not only why you want to earn the degree, but why you specifically want to study at the Sahmyook University. The statement should also outline your career objectives and how an the degree would help you realize them.

Graduate Certificate/ Transcript of Record

Ph.D. course applicants Master’s degree cerficate, TOR
Master’s course applicants Bachelor’s degree cerficate, TOR

Certificate of Graduation and TOR should be Apostilled.

*Apostille can be replaced by Korean Embassy certificate.

Bank Deposit Certificate

As Korean Embassy requires $20,000 or more in student’s own bank account when applying for student visa, we also receive bank deposit certificate in order to check whether the student is qualified to apply for the student visa.

Family Relationship Certificate

Students must prove that both parents are foreigners to be considered as a foreign students We are receiving Family Relationship Certificate to check this out.

Language Tests

Korean courses TOPIK level 4
