Sahmyook University’s Institute for International Education has been designated as an official operator of the Immigration and Social Integration Program, administered by the Ministry of Justice.
This program is designed to help immigrants adapt to Korean society and become self-sufficient by providing education in Korean language, culture, and essential skills. Participants who complete the program receive various benefits, including:

Exemption from the naturalization test when applying for citizenship

Fulfillment of basic competency requirements when applying for permanent residency

Additional points for visa applications

With this designation, Sahmyook University’s Institute for International Education will operate the Social Integration Program for the next three years, offering a structured curriculum covering Korean language, culture, and society.

In addition to the core curriculum, the institute will provide citizenship education for immigrants, access to essential information for foreign residents, customized employment guidance, and university admissions counseling, all aimed at supporting the successful integration of immigrants into local communities.

A representative from the Institute for International Education stated, “We are committed to providing high-quality, accessible education for foreign residents in Korea. By collaborating with the Department of Global Korean Studies and the Korean Language & Culture Research Institute, we will offer a uniquely tailored learning experience and establish Sahmyook University as a leader in global education.”
