Formed on February 1, 2022, the new administration in the second half of this presidential term of Sahmyook University pledged its dedication before starting their work. President Kim Il-mok, new Vice-President Kim Hyun-hee, and all 11 new heads and deans of offices and departments attended the ‘2022 Workshop for the New SU Administrators’ at the Adventist Training Center from February 8 to 10.

The workshop provided the participants an opportunity to re-confirm their mission and calling and share their responsibilities as university administrators. Pastors Oh Jae-ho, Uhm Ki-ho, and Cha Yeong-seok joined the workshop to lecture on the following themes: Principles of Praying You Can Learn from the Lord’s Prayer, What Happened on the Cross, Moral Education and Character Building, Reading the Bible as a Professor, Be Reconciled to God, and Intellectual Education and Development.

Pastor Oh’s lecture, Reading the Bible as a Professor, dealt with the blessings and correct attitude of those who wish to embrace the Word of God and offered specific and effective methods for finding the central ideas in the Bible. Cha, in his lecture titled Intellectual Education and Development, emphasized that, “As a safeguard against this degeneracy, and a stimulus to development, nothing else can equal the study of God’s word (Ed 124),” highlighting the importance of the ‘authority of the Bible and sanctification of reason.’

Administrators also attended and participated in presentations of their respective departments and office plans and projects, QT and meditation on the Word, walking, and personal prayer time, concreting their resolution to solely depend on God as they devote themselves to their newly assigned responsibilities.
