[NEWS] Virtual Graduation Ceremony…318 graduates

Sahmyook University had 318 graduates for the late 2020 academic year on the 20th. The official ceremony for the graduation scheduled for this day was canceled due to the spread of COVID-19.

Instead, the president blessed the future graduates by posting a congratulatory video on the university’s website as well as on SNS. Sahmyook University rented graduation gowns from the 18th to the 25th so that students who visited the school could take commemorative photos and installed large banners and photo walls on the exterior wall of the auditorium to create a graduation ceremony atmosphere. Diplomas were distributed at the offices of each department. Although the official event was canceled, students went to the school with their families, friends, classmates, and seniors to take commemorative photos and met with their advisors, held individual meetups, etc. to soothe their disappointment

On this day, a total of 318 students graduated (268 undergraduates △14 doctoral students, 28 masters from the general graduate school △4 Masters from the seminary graduate school △4 Masters from the Graduate School of Clinical Nursing). Eleven foreign students from the United States, China, the Philippines, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, and South Africa, and two students with disabilities also wore honorable academic caps.
