The Department of Music strives to cultivate talented individuals with outstanding character and knowledge as professional musicians and cultured individuals who have deep academic theoretical knowledge, advanced musical skills, and the ability for creative artistic expression. Major fields include orchestral music, piano, vocal music, and composition. Through various performance opportunities and major practicums, such as major concerts, regular spring/autumn concerts, orchestra concerts, and opera performances, students are able to draw out their artistic talents and achieve great results after graduation. You can choose a variety of career paths, including becoming a performer.

Computer music , study the composition process for video music and Korean traditional music, and the arrangement process for various styles, formats, and arrangements. |

Vision and career path
10% of the students in this department are granted secondary school level 2 full teacher qualifications after completing the teaching course, producing many teachers. We are also members of professional performance groups such as orchestras and choirs, composers, arrangers, conductors, and computer and video experts. They work as music editors, recording and sound experts, or are employed as social music leaders, including churches, and in various music-related institutions or organizations. Many of our graduates have grown into world-class musicians through graduate school or studying abroad, bringing glory to their alma mater. Based on the strength of the university with its 100-year history, we will continue to strive to fulfill our role as a cradle that plays a pivotal role in the development of Korea’s music culture.
