Sahmyook Philharmonic Summer Intensive Course 2013<\/span><\/strong>
<\/span>In preparation for the fall concert on October, 1 at Nowon Cultural Center  <\/span><\/p>\n

DATE<\/strong>: Monday, August 19 through Friday, August 23<\/p>\n

TIME<\/strong>: 10am – 3pm, possibly until 6pm (depending on preparation level of individuals)<\/p>\n

LOCATION<\/strong>: Sahmyook University Music Building Room 102<\/p>\n

REPERTOIRE<\/strong>: Mussorgsky\/Ravel’s Pictures at an Exhibition (complete)<\/p>\n

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. All orchestra members are required to thoroughly learn the repertoire, with all dynamics and up to tempo, prior to coming to the rehearsal. If the conductor notices unpreparedness from an individual and\/or a section, the whole section or the entire orchestra will be required to stay until 6pm, or until the repertoire is learned.<\/p>\n

2. Absence, unless you are hospitalized overnight, will not be excused. No exceptions.<\/p>\n

3. Principle players may be asked to meet with the conductor separately. Principle players, be prepared to lead sectionals.<\/p>\n

4. This is an intensive course, a part of the school curriculum. Your attendance, musicianship, preparation level, professionalism, and cooperation will be taken into account toward your grade for the fall semester.<\/p>\n

5. Should you need housing assistance, you must speak to DukHyun before the end of the 1st week of July. Consideration will be first given to those that live far from school.<\/p>\n

6. Lunch will be provided by the Music Department.<\/p>\n
