On September 18th, Sahmyook University International Education Center held the International Students Athletic Competition at the school gymnasium. The event was organized to promote unity among international students, welcome new students, and provide a place for international students to socialize. About 80 international students, including language students, undergraduates, and graduates, participated in the event.<\/p>\n
The sports events include group jump rope, kangaroo relay run, hook roulette, cultivator run, balloon game, and a raffle draw. The international students competed enthusiastically in teams or individually to strengthen their friendship.<\/p>\n
Sou Deyuan( a junior in the Department of Food and Nutrition, China) said, “It was a pity that there weren’t many opportunities to engage in face-to-face activities due to COVID-19, but thanks to the athletic competition, I was able to make many new friends and make many good memories.”<\/p>\n
Yang Jae-wook, the director of the International Education Center, said, “I hope this event will help international students adjust to life in Korea and their university life. We will continue to provide excellent educational and cultural exchange programs to cultivate outstanding people with global capabilities.”<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, 555 international students from 21 countries, including the United States, China, Japan, India, Russia, Turkey, Taiwan, Nigeria, and the Philippines, are enrolled in Sahmyook University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
