As of January 3, the last day of the regular admission application period for the 2022 academic year, Sahmyook University received a total of 4,143 applications for the recruitment of just 433 new enrolled students, recording the overall competition rate of 9.57 to 1. This is a dramatic jump from the ratio of last year, 4.38 to 1. The figure was the fourth-highest among all universities in Korea.<\/p>\n

As for the competition rate by department, the Department of Pharmacy was the highest, at 43.29 to 1, with as many as 606 applicants for the recruitment of 14 students. The next two highest competition ratios were from arts and sports departments\u2014the Department of Art and Design at 28.80 to 1, followed by the Department of Leisure and Sports Studies at 25.63 to 1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
