It is the first time for the meeting to take place on a metaverse platform.<\/p>\n<p>The virtual space consisted of a conference hall, Koinonia Hall, rooms for group discussions, an exhibition hall for policy presentation videos, and a tutorial room. Faculty members participated in the virtual meeting by utilizing features such as avatar creation, video connection, voice chat, and video sharing.<\/p>\n<p>First, participants gathered at the conference hall to attend the devotional and watch the president&#8217;s remarks, after which they moved to the Koinonia Hall, dividing into 12 small groups for a time of fellowship.<\/p>\n<p>Then, they moved to the video exhibition hall to watch pre-recorded presentations on the following policies: \u25b3 Vitalization of the multi-major system (Academic Affairs Office), \u25b3 Concept of the metaverse and plans for its class application (Institute for Innovative Education), \u25b3 Career guidance for students: major accomplishments and future plans (Student Affairs Office), \u25b3 Report on the establishment of the University Innovation Support Project (2nd cycle) (Planning Office), and \u25b3 Utilization of the online IR system (IR Center).<\/p>\n<p>Group discussions took place in small conference rooms, in which a number of major topics were addressed, including the following: \u25b3 the enhancement of the student employment rate, \u25b3 the improvement of the university\u2019s image, \u25b3 the improvement of methods and indexes for department evaluation, \u25b3 the improvement of the university&#8217;s research environment, \u25b3 the development of the smart learning environment, \u25b3 the enhancement of student satisfaction, and \u25b3 the improvement of faculty welfare.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sahmyook University held the faculty council meeting on the metaverse platform \u201cGathertown\u201d on December 22.
