The SU Theology Department hosted an online Missionary School Course from January 24 to 27. Held via YouTube and the online conference system ZOOM, the program received a total of 120 participants, including prospective high school students, current high school students, students and teachers from local churches, and the operating staff members.

This round of the Missionary School Course held the theme, “My Golden Missionaries,” grabbing the attention of many by presenting a TV show-like program that included sermons, concerts, and devotion services. The program dealt with questions the participating students might have had as Christians yet had difficulty asking or understanding, explaining them with the Word, and guiding them to find answers in a fun and delightful manner.

Participants first watched videos reenacting their concerns and questions, which were followed by a discussion session in which the moderator, panelists, and the main lecturer gathered on the stage to share their experiences, ideas, and know-how to provide possible solutions to the issues in a friendly and casual atmosphere. The discussion aroused empathy among the participants by addressing topics that are relevant to the practical concerns of the youth of today by including issues such as deviance, the conviction in faith, appearance complex, and more.

The segment called, “You Here, Sketchbook” incorporated a devotion service with a concert to help the participants listen carefully to the calling voice of God. Participants then were divided into breakout rooms on ZOOM for small group activities and shared with their peers how they plan to accept and apply what they have learned to their lives.

Marking its 51st round this year, the Prophet School is held every year with the aim of training prophetic teachers to protect our youth from corruption and depravity, foster them to become useful workers for God, and nurture them to grow as God-fearing leaders. A bountiful number of graduates of this program are devotedly serving as witnesses of Jesus Christ out there in their daily lives and on the front lines of missionary work.
